Oak Island, NC

Oak Island stretches along the coastline of Southeastern North Carolina. Oak Island is a family oriented beach with entertainment for children as well as adults.

The town features more than 52 public beach accesses, two fishing piers, a marina, public boat/canoe ramps, picnic areas, bike paths and an extensive sidewalk system.

Oak Island offers a championship golf course, the highest fishing pier in North Carolina, miniature golf, a picnic area, an arcade and nine beach accesses.

There are also many small retail stores for shopping, restaurants, a medical facility, a church and library.

Bald Head Island, NC

The first thing that you will notice about Bald Head Island is the natural beauty that surrounds you. From the quiet unspoiled beaches to the maritime forests this is a truly exceptional place.

Another thing that you will notice is the absence of gasoline powered vehicles. Transportation here consists of bicycles, electric golf carts and walking.

Amenities and recreation on the island include a championship golf course, clubhouse facilities, a marina, croquet, tennis, swimming pools, restaurants, snack bars and relaxing on the beach or by the pool.

The most famous landmark on the island is North Carolina’s oldest lighthouse. Built in 1817, Old Baldy has guided many ships safely into the mouth of the Cape Fear river for over 86 years. Old Baldy was retired from service in 1935 but has been restored and is open to the public for tours.

Southport, NC

Southport is a quaint waterfront town located at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Oak tree lined avenues and beautiful historic homes make up most of Southport but the town center features 15 antique shops, restaurants, historic sites, the Southport Maritime Museam, art galleries and quiet, relaxing parks.
